I cannot speak too highly of Duane Hunter, who recently sold my property in just 5 weeks.
Many years ago I sold my first and second homes myself, using newspaper ads (pre-internet days), and quickly at that. Thus when I decided to sell my current property I was seriously contemplating repeating this approach, and of course saving any agent?s commission by so doing. Perhaps because I?m older (and lazier), but mainly because of all the details and responsibility handled so well by Duane, I?m now very glad I decided to use his services.
From the time I invited Duane (and other agents) to make offers for my business, I found him to be unfailingly courteous and polite. Of course one should expect a successful businessman to behave like that, but I felt that Duane exuded a genuine warmth and respect for me as a client. My decision was based in part on the realisation that he would behave in the same manner towards prospective buyers. A lot of factors go into a decision to buy a home, and for me feeling comfortable on a personal level with the agent, and feeling that you can trust them, is conducive to making any negotiations smooth. This proved to be the case with Duane.
On the functional side of the sale, Duane was highly efficient. Target dates and times were always met; I was constantly kept informed of numbers of people inspecting the home & whether they were likely to make serious offers; recommendations for a gardener and other services also proved useful, as did suggestions as to how best to present the home. Duane kept everything moving, maintaining momentum nicely. He knew when to provide ?space? to prospective purchasers, but importantly to me as the vendor, when to engage and close the sale.
Duane is establishing himself in Elanora Heights & surrounding areas, and involves himself in his community. I?m confident in recommending him to others thinking of selling property, both on the strength of his professional skills and also his personal qualities. In hindsight I can see that at no stage did I feel stressed, which is entirely to Duane’s credit.
We first met Duane when we were recently purchasing a property in North Narrabeen . From the first moment I walked into the open house ,by chance ,I was impressed by his lovely manner and his professionalism. He didn’t even mind when I had to borrow his phone to call my husband to come down to have a look.We negotiated the purchase with him and due to his courteous manner and knowledge of the way it all works we had the deal done within 24 hours.
In fact we were so impressed with Duane that we then gave him our property to sell for us. Our first instincts about Duane were right and he continued in the same kind ,courteous and profressional manner as we became the vendors.Nothing was ever a problem and he was always very respectful of the fact that it was our home and he valued our opinion in regard to the best time of the day to have the open houses etc. He was also appreciative of the time and effort we went to present the house each week and after each open house he gave us honest feedback. He has a natural feel as to who are genuine buyers and within 4 weeks he achieved a sale price for us that we are extremely happy with.
We can’t thank Duane enough and we will be recommending him to anyone and everyone! He is not your “typical real estate agent” but in the best way possible!

Just a short note to say thank you for all your help with the sale of our apartment in Dee Why and the purchase of our new home in Cromer. Although the purchase of our new home was a little unexpected, when my wife and i first made some enquiries we instantly felt like we were taken seriously and not pushed into the sale. The more questions we asked and over the time it took to make the decision you were always professional, diligent and courteous. Something which I personally look for as I have been in sales for over 12 years.
