I met Duane about eight months ago when he showed me through a few properties in Bayview. From the moment we met I could sense his genuine concern and eagerness to assist me in every possible way. Because of his gentle nature and obvious integrity, I decided to enlist him as the selling agent for my property in Elanora Heights. Over the course of the following months Duane helped me to prepare the property by recommending builders, painters and tradesmen to me in order to get the house in prime condition before listing. Nothing was too much trouble for Duane during this phase and there was no charge for his services. He remained in constant touch with me, checking on my progress but also checking on how I was coping and encouraging me through the difficulties.
When the property became ready and I signed the listing agreement with him, Duane went into battle for me. He spent hours compiling the advertising to my liking and securing it at a good price. As my property is in the higher end of the Elanora market I was expecting a sale to probably take some time, however, I am pleased to say that Duane is close to securing a buyer for me already. I was contacted by Duane Hunter some months ago, offering a “free appraisal”, should I be interested in selling. As I was contemplating same, I decided to take him up on the offer. He came to my home in Alexandra Cres Bayview, inspected my home and then asked me “how much I wanted for it?” To which I replied 10 million! Obviously the home was worth nothing like that. Having studied the market, I had a very concise idea of its current value. So I asked Duane…no what price can you achieve for me? His response was $10,000 away from my price. So we were on the same page. He listed the home and began a marketing campaign.
Within a short time we had an interested party….Negotiations began, and a sale was put in place.
What followed was most difficult…..A purchaser that insisted on pulling the price down further! Probably nothing new for a potential purchaser, and I was the hard “vendor, that would not give in”. That is Real Estate sales. However what transpired was a sale brought about by Duanes tenacity and ability to continue negotiations, with absolute determination!
In what is currently “a difficult market”,a good result was achieved. I have no hesitation in a recommendation of Duanes ability and certainly his tenacious attitude.
